Hi, I’m Becky, TGP Kids Director.

”TGP Kids Ministry exists to provide a safe and loving environment where children can grow in their knowledge of Jesus Christ, learn what it means to follow Him, and develop relationships with their peers and the adults serving in our ministry.
We believe that parents are the primary disciple-makers of their children. As the church, we believe our role is to partner with parents by equipping them with vision, tools, and relationships to carry out the commands of scripture in their homes. Our desire is to partner with parents through all stages of life as they walk in obedience to the commands of Deuteronomy 6.”

Ministry Highlights & Impact

One of the most meaningful experiences we had this past year took place during our Kids Camp. This year, we incorporated a special mission focus and challenged the 175 children who attended to raise money for Cora Steele. Cora is a seven-year-old in our church community who is currently fighting cancer. The response from the children at Kids Camp was incredible; they rallied around Cora and raised nearly $6,000.00! It was truly amazing to witness the outpouring of love and support they showed their friend. I was thrilled to be a part of this effort.

Growth & Development in this Ministry Area

This year we have seen a 12% increase in both regular and guest attendance. We continue to welcome new families weekly, and approximately 20 of those families now attend regularly. As we expand, we are also focusing on enhancing our connection with new families. We are developing a new hospitality team dedicated to identifying and connecting with families entering the kids' wing. The goal of this team is to ensure new parents feel comfortable and valued, answer any questions, and provide helpful information. Furthermore, we are committed to equipping parents in discipling their children. We have introduced a new Parent Resource Wall featuring books and pamphlets on various life topics. Complementing this resource wall, we now send a monthly parent letter that provides additional tools and resources to aid them in building their children's faith at home.

Vision & Focus for the Coming Year

We place great weight on our volunteers to lead and teach in our ministry. We believe what is taught in our environments must be theologically and scripturally accurate, gospel-centered, and heart-focused. Therefore, our primary goal this year is to invest deeply in our volunteers by providing focused training and equipping them with the tools necessary to effectively disciple our children.
