Ministry Highlights & Impact
We’ve been able to see some great things this year in Student Ministries. We’ve seen leaders take ownership and initiative in equipping disciples by starting Bible studies/small groups outside of Sunday nights. We’ve celebrated with many new students coming and hearing the gospel for the first time, and we’ve seen some students get saved! As a leadership team, we’ve been able to build involvement in the lives of students through fellowship/community.
Growth & Development in this Ministry Area
The ministry was strengthened through God’s provision of a great team of volunteers who help in various areas such as leading small groups, activities, and security. We changed the focus of our teaching time by moving from a curriculum to a study of a book of the Bible. Along with AJ (our Student Ministries Intern), other leaders were able grow in their ability to teach!
Vision & Focus for the Coming Year
I (AJ) would like to begin intensive discipleship (counseling) with students who are in need of it. I would like to try to train and equip leaders to do the same in their small groups or personal conversations with students. I see the value in investing in leaders who can disciple and lead in all areas, multiplying the impact that we can have within our walls and beyond!
