Our purpose is to be disciples and equip disciples.
Through First Fridays and our Young Adults ministry, we have increasingly seen young adults take ownership of their walk with God and the impact they can have on their friends. If you want to see a tangible example of how this is equipping disciples, look no further than the rows of young adults in every Gathering! Weekly, we see more and more individuals inviting friends and bringing co-workers into a hearing of the Gospel.
Ministry Highlights & Impact
During First Fridays, we consistently spent time in God’s Word together. After finishing our study through 1, 2, & 3 John, we studied through the book of Jude, and over the summer, a number of Young Adult Men were given an opportunity to teach out of Proverbs. This creates an environment for the discipleship and development of the young men in our church.
Life Change:
the result of being disciples and equipping disciples together
We have seen young adults come into our group and our church with new faith, then grow and develop into believers who are living on mission, digging into their relationship with God and into His Word, and seen the impact that has on their friends as well.
We have also seen young adults come into our group with lukewarm faith that has been reignited and re-engaged in much of the same ways. They are now growing and developing into believers who are living on mission, with a vital relationship with God, and increasingly growing in their understanding and application of Scripture.
Whether new to the faith, or shifting from spectator to become a true disciple, we’re proud of the change stories we are seeing in Young Adults!
Young adults are seen in nearly every aspect of church life. You’ll see them serving on Sunday mornings, mentoring at Youthgroup, engaged in bible studies, and involved in Gospel Communities.
Vision & Focus for the Coming Year
We plan to continue our monthly gatherings for Young Adults are called First Fridays. They draw in visitors regularly and help young adults grow in their faith and identity. We are planning on increasing other opportunities for YA engagement through events and meetings such as worship nights, topic panels, missions panels, serving opportunities, discipleship classes, and small group book studies.
