How to primer

What’s a primer?

A primer is an introduction to something. This primer introduces you to lifelong discipleship and to gospel community.

  • How to be an action-oriented follower of Jesus

  • How to speak with gospel fluency in any situation of life

  • How to do all of that together with others who follow Jesus

  • How to help others who aren’t following Jesus start following Jesus

What do we do?

The primer introduces you to this through 8 conversations. Each conversation has brief content, Scripture passages, and some ways to discuss or experience their truths. Simply read the content on your own, jot down a few thoughts, then get together as a GC to discuss these ideas as a group.

Here’s the roadmap:

  • What is the Gospel? - an introduction to the reality that changes everything

  • The Story - an introduction to how we tell stories and make sense of our lives

  • Your Gospel Story - an introduction to how Jesus changes your story and others’ stories

  • Gospel Listening - how to hear the “gospel” we believe and speak the gospel we need

  • Four Eternal Truths - the foundational truths that we embrace or ignore to our risk

  • Two Lenses - the two ways we can view all of life through the gospel

  • Gospel Identity - how to live the new life that matches who God has made us to be

  • Gospel Patterns - ways of living that show and tell the Gospel everyday
