To our church family:

Church family, I am so proud of you and all of our team who strive together to respond to God and to become all that He has called us to be.

At TGP, we believe God calls us all to live like God’s family of servant missionaries wherever He places us. As a church, we are constantly leaning into this call and discovering the fruits of being faithful to our gospel identity. In the last year, we saw a couple dozen men, women, and children respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have seen baptisms and added new members. But most of all, we have rejoiced in the stories that each one shares about God’s life-change coming to bear in their lives.

Throughout this year, our church family has honed our attention on exactly how we can share in God’s call together. To do that, we refined our purpose statement and our values. If anyone asks why TGP exists, it is to be disciples and equip disciples. Everything we do is centered around creating opportunities for people to hear and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, then to learn how He would live if He were them.

As we actively share in His mission, we need a set of shared values and practices that ground us. Disciples are active participants in the life and mission of Jesus Christ, and disciples share in that mission together. That is why we have focused in on being Scripturally Rooted, Relationally Committed, Sacrificially Minded, and Missionally Driven together.

As a family of servant missionaries, we are more focused on our mission and more intentional about our discipleship together. We are investing more in Gospel Communities, strengthening our existing leaders and launching new leaders, improving resources for our groups and involving new participants all the time. New staff, volunteers, and partnerships are all working in support of our pursuit to be disciples and equip disciples for Christ’s mission in our neighborhoods, workplaces, and beyond.

This year fills me with hope, energy, and focus for our next year together. I pray this report gives you a helpful look at how our entire church has aligned together to be disciples and equip disciples. And I pray it inspires you to new hope, focus, and engagement in God’s mission with God’s family at The Gathering Place.

Scripturally rooted

We believe God's Word must be the focus and foundation of all that we do. This is seen in the consistent exegetical and expository preaching during Sunday Gatherings and throughout various ministries. It is also our personal commitment to read and embody God's Word in our lives.

Relationally committed

We value deep relational commitment and investment from TGP members, people who are not just spectators but truly involved in one another's lives. This is seen consistently in Gospel Community groups, Volunteer Teams, and the deepening relationships formed within and beyond the walls of TGP.

Sacrificially minded

We are motivated by an eternal perspective and Christ's sacrifice for us. This is seen in how we put people over our privileges, preferences, and comfort, and in how we share the resources, time, and gifts God has given us to steward in this life.

Missionally driven

We carry on the rich history of being a globally missional church. This is seen in how we move out from our church into our neighborhoods, our city, our state, nation, and world. We intentionally re-orient our lives to the gospel and make choices to ensure that every man, woman, and child has an opportunity to respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

317 volunteers are scheduled regularly across 10 unique teams and filling 45 unique roles to host the Gathering and equip disciples weekly. Further volunteers serve in funerals, events, and for special needs within, and beyond, our church walls.
Missionally Driven Church

43 missionaries supported worldwide with Gospel Influence extending throughout North & South America, Asia, Europe, and the African continent. Supported missionaries bring the Gospel to open and restricted countries around the world.
Digital Engagement

Through online channels, our Gatherings are viewed 2.2 thousand times and our content has 27 thousand impressions. Broadcasts and radio further extend the reach so that every man, woman, and child has an opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel.
